Day 4: A day of Extraordinay Monuments and Flinstones Shenanigans.

Departing our overnight stay in Custer, South Dakota, Our first point of interest was a visit to the famous 50 year old Flinstones Bedrock City theme park. A true blast from the past.

The sign greeting us to the legendary Black Hills where we observed the construction of the extravagant 'Crazy Horse Memorial' on the way to Mount Rushmore.

A vision and dream becoming a reality.

The model of decades of hard work, what it will become.

The first compressor used by Sculptor Korczak Ziolkowski who spent the first five years sculpting the monument by himself, he stated that he'd carry the equipment needed on his back up the treacherous stairway up the mountain and halfway up he'd hear the compressor going 'Kaput' to which he'd have to climb back down and Crank it back up and then begin the climb all over again, he also stated that he had to do that some 30+ times in one day.

100% American made beauty, and the monuments not so bad either.

The first Runaway truck ramp we've ever seen, for trucks that lose their brakes on steep slopes, a dreadful bailout option.

The Mighty Devil's Tower, the core of an ancient volcano and a very unique site to see indeed

Prayer cloth's left by Native Americans
