Day 1: Amarillo by Evening

All gassed up and ready to go! Amarillo Texas was our first stop being that we timed our 2 week trip to Roslyn by 5-7 hour driving increments so we don't get burned out by the road.
Upon our arrival we were greeted with a Rainstorm and we were focused on checking into the hotel and settling down for a one of a kind meal at the Big Texan Steakhouse, home of the Free 72oz Steak should you finish it within an Hour along with a side salad, a baked potato, 3 deep fried shrimp, and a dinner roll. I wasn't feeling it though i'm confident...maybe...someday, but we were lucky enough to see a couple of brave men attempt the challenge, which to no success, and i'm sure was left with a hefty bill. Not a bad first day, though Pamela's day wasn't so pleasant being that her phone fell out of her purse and shattered at the gas station as well as dealing with incompetent lazy Hotel staff, but after some good eats and drinks she was able to get focused and relax. Tomorrow's a new day and we look forward to what it brings, Denver Colorado is the destination with a few points of interests off the route we will be checking out, but for now being 12:30 a.m. Goodnight friends.
The Storm that greeted us arriving in Amarillo.
Captured a semi-double rainbow, while getting gas on arrival, What does this Mean?
Tried to catch The Big Texan with lightning behind it. (fail)
An hour spent on a broken phone with Hotwire.com, eventually hung up. (Nevermore)

13 minutes left and quite a bit to go, better luck next time, don't forget to tip your waitress.

I'd seen this guy spectating the previous contender, so i figured he evaluated and formed a strategy, though he started off strong, after 15 minutes he started to give out, better to have tried and known, than to not tried and never know, i suppose.

The Big Texan also offer unique Hotel Rooms for you and your horse.

A nice view at the end of the night, without all the Hustle and Bustle, the wait to be seated was 45 minutes, and there was people everywhere.
